This is seriously an amazing album. I’m honored to know all of these guys. They don’t care about the album succeeding except that this album helps support the sending church, a movement that helps put missions back in the local church.

For about a month, I’ve been hung up on Daniel Bashta’s “The Sounds of Daniel Bashta”. It’s crazy awesome stuff.
FOF is in my top 5 favorite bands. Check out all their stuff. I’m a big fan of Bashta’s album too. Hard to listen to that and remain complacent.
I’m so pumped that you included Josh Garrell’s album on here, because I feel the same way when I listen to it. Especially the track “Farther Along”. Just brings tears to my heart. 🙂

The City Harmonic is on my new shortlist. Manifesto was an awesome song. I just got their new LP, so I haven’t had much time to dig in yet. Want to listen to Spirit Break Out but it’s not on Spotify or MOG yet.
Recently, I’ve honestly been digging through my childhood bands and songs. So lots of Newsboys and DCTalk. It’s funny how different they sound when you understand more.
As for newer artists, I’ve started listening to Jeremy Riddle’s new album Furious and just got Chris Moerman’s album Sounds Like Sunset. What I’ve heard I really like.
I’ll have to check out the rest of the list now.
I haven’t heard Riddle’s new album yet, but he’s a favorite of mine. Who is Chris Moerman? Should I know him?

I love it that you included Josh Garrels too! He’s an amazingly creative and devoted follower of God. We use a few of his songs in our worship services at my church, especially “Childrens Song”. Josh came to Christ and sometimes led worship at our church when He lived in Muncie so that makes it extra-special. 🙂

I currently cannot get enough of Kelanie Gloeckler. I love, love, love her lyrics and her music is challenging and fun for my musicians. We just introducted Noone Like Jehovah this week…I think it seriously freaked our EV Free congregation out. 🙂

hey Sarah, I’m with you on IHOP music and stretching the congregation. Love a lot of their music though. One of my favorite songs recently is “Psalm 100” by Matt Gilman off of he and Corey Asbury’s “Holy” album. We used it in a prelude slot…it’s rockin. If you can get your congregation to sing it, more power to you. 🙂

Sarah, I agree with you about Kelanie Gloeckler. I met her a couple of months ago and I have been to some of their worship nights and she is awesome. A truly gifted worship leader.
Kim Walker(Jesus Culture)- Misty Edwards(Ihop)- Rick Pino are really my favorites right now.
@Chuck – I will DEFINITELY have to check Psalm 100 out. If we can’t make it fly in main service, xtended worship is always an option – no rules there!
@Khamille – that is so cool you were able to meet her. I saw her in Loveland a couple of months ago and couldn’t get up the nerves to go talk to her. Her music and style are both so unique and empowering. I would love, love, love to go on retreat with her and just sit at her feet and listen for a while.
I also heart Misty with a great hearting. We are going to be exercising our prophetic muscles to ‘people get ready’ (again in xtended, NOT in main) in a month or so. I love how challenging that song is, lyrically and musically. Because it is just one chord you are forced to be creative and super engaged with the piece – and I just want to jump up on my desk and pound my fists on the wall when I listen to it – it seriously takes me some place else. It is so neat to see the prophetic worship movement becoming more recognized and utilized. Thank you Kim Walker – you are my hero.

Misty is truly a prophetic worshipper and you can really see her hearts desire is to worship Him at all cost. I love love that.
I’m always listening to her live at Ihop.org. I printed their schedule and it’s really awesome to see her free styling.
I was shocked to find out how much I love the “Songs inspired by The Story” album. I didn’t think I wanted it…someone gave it to me and it knocked me flat.
Just the song for Job- “Broken Praise” is worth the album price and more. Seriously. It breaks me open every time I listen to it. And really the whole album is strong, lyrically and musically.

Our church has been immensely blessed over the past few weeks by hearing the worship of Sarah Reeves (twitter: @sarahreeves). Her album “Broken Things” is simply stunning – great times of spontaneous worship interspersed with some absolute barnstormers of worship songs (in particular, Mighty Wave, Crash, and Broken Things are well worth it). Hey David – lots of good stuff here – I really enjoyed listening to your list. As many of your readers, I too often listen for utilitarian reasons – “What songs can I use for my church?” And for me…that involves a very diverse congregation. I would encourage you to branch out in diversity. None of your albums involve artists of non-white ethnicity. There’s lots of stuff happening out there. I’m not just talking about urban hip-hop or gospel. There is a facebook page called Multicultural Worship Leaders Network. It’s crazy what God is doing out there!!
