One of the best things we’ve done with our worship team is utilize a click track and play live loops. It improves the quality of your band while introducing new sonic textures.
In this post I’d like to introduce you to a few great online resources for making this happen at your church. I recently did a post on Creating a Click Track Using Garageband, which you may want to check out. Here follows some of the best resources I’ve found.

Worship leaders don’t get much of a break. Before you know it, Sunday is here. Again.
What are we all going to do this weekend? Our songs may differ but there are a few things I can guarantee:
It’s easy for us to get stuck in these patterns. We see what others are doing and we imitate. I’m not saying you need to reinvent the wheel every week, provide breakthrough musical innovation with every song, and be so cool that Mute Math wants to attend your church to learn a few things.
But the introduction of something different can really “lift” the atmosphere for your band as well as your congregation. As artists in the church, we are seeking to “paint” a bigger picture of God in people’s minds. We want people to leave our services with a true sense of God and sometimes that involves trying something “out of the box”.
While not an exhaustive list, here are 20 musical ideas that may (or may not) work for you and your team:

There are so many ways to set up a click track for your worship team to use. I figured since most people have Macs with Garageband, it would be beneficial to see how you can set it up within a few minutes.
Here we go.
The most refreshing album I have listened to in quite a while has been Andrew Ehrenzeller’s Beauty is What Remains. His music reminds me of a cross between Jason Upton, Dave Matthews, Steven Curtis Chapman, and the International House of Prayer.
I’ve been refreshed with every listen and I honestly can’t put it down. Andrew’s music is prophetic, intimate, and powerful. His voice alone demands your attention. I really believe this album needs to be heard. It’s that good.
Andrew was gracious enough to do an interview with me during a ministry trip to Norway. This was my first time recording a Skype interview, so I apologize for the low quality 🙂
