#50: Don Moen On Worship In Action, Authenticity, & Keeping It Simple [Podcast]

IMG_6040-e1364515497136Do you ever think that we over-complicate worship?

Oftentimes we can get so caught up in massive creative pursuits that I fear, sometimes, God is on the outside wondering when we’ll welcome Him in.

In this interview, I had the honor of talking with worship pioneer Don Moen about this and so much more.

Don was the Creative Director and President of Integrity Music for 20 years. A prolific songwriter and recording artist, he’s been involved with over 50 projects, 17 of them his own.

He was a major catalyst in launching the careers of Paul Baloche, Darlene Zschech, Israel Houghton, & Hillsong United.

Don’t miss this conversation!

i’m looking forward to listening, as i’ve been a Moen fan for quite a while. however, even before i listen, i feel strongly against a word choice you made–“pioneer”. the church has been worshipping a lot longer than Don has been around. not a criticism, just a caution.

Thanks Jared! What I mean by pioneer is that he helped lead the charge at Integrity Music, which was very influential in the development of modern, contemporary worship music. I guess I could have made that clearer 🙂 Thanks!

You really are a great man,Don Moen.

You lead people into the God’s presense, help the needy.

You led many people many people into God’s presence and they got healed.

I don’t know how many time I got healed by God by listening to your songs.

When I went through sorrows, your songs led me into God’s presence and I got healed.

There are no words good enough to express how I thankful.

There is just one thing that I want to say, keep it up,help people to be led into God’s presence and they will be healed as I was.

    God bless you Don Moen.

    Hi David,

Your talk on Worship Leader, know your bible was awesome…. came at the right time as a confirmation of what the Holy spirit had been telling me…to study the word of God. Simply put worship without God’s word is empty! God bless your labour of love.

When it comes to Don Moen, I find everything about him interesting. I’ve been Don’s fan ever since the day one of his song(Hiding Place, precisely)ministered strength, courage and stirred up my faith in God. Others of his songs hhad also been very inspiring and helpful to me.I love his humility, godliness n skills on piano and violin. I just pray for more of God’s grace and Anointing on him and other ministers. Also I have been desiring to be his friend for a very long time now, please can you help me. Thanks.
