“The harder you try to be ‘good’, the worse it gets. The more you look at how good your Savior is, the more you will flow as an artist.”
This and more was a part of my conversation with Bob Fitts.
Bob has been a worship leader for over 30 years, having recorded albums with Integrity and Maranatha music.
Bob travels the world extensively to lead worship in many nations and I’ve always appreciated his passion for the love of God.
This was a great conversation as we tackle his start in worship ministry, what he’s learned about the worshiping church across the world, as well as plenty of golden nuggets for worship leaders.

Is there a way for me to read these podcasts instead of listening to them? I’d love to be able to print and read at my leisure.
David Santistevan says
Hi Cheryl, unfortunately I don’t have a transcript available for the podcast at this point. The best option would be to read the show notes here on the blog. For interviews there is less to read but for the episodes that I teach I add all the notes and outline. Hope that helps!

Nice interview guys! Love the focus on following Jesus!
I met Bob and Kathy while on a mission trip in Sri Lanka in 2012. They are very gracious servants of the Lord – they paid for my lunch!

Wonderful interview! I went to high school with Bob and his wife. In January 1973 Barry McGuire and Love Song came to do a concert at Corona HS. I had been brought up in church , but it was that night I accepted Jesus and Bob was the one that prayed with me. What a blessing the Fitt’s are and am thankful for their ministry .

So awesome!

Thank you so much for this interview with Bob Fitts. Honestly you don’t know how much it has blessed me. I am seeing Bob in Hungary this October where he will be in a concert. The fact that his wife, Kathy stands next to him when he leads worship is a message on its own. I highly respect him. I pray he finishes well. Thanks David.
David Santistevan says
Hi Kemi, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Blessings to you!

David, I loved this interview! Bob Fitts and his music were a part of a season way back there (before you were born :)), and I haven’t kept up with him at all over the years. But one of my personal favorites is “To Keep Your Lovely Face”, so in searching that out, I came upon this. I am thrilled to hear of how he and Kathy are being so used all over the place! Your questioning of him was like opening a perfume bottle; the beauty and quality and value were instantly obvious, and went to a place in me that loves and cherishes the fragrance of Christ. I love your interviewing style, the questions were wonderful door openers to important points of experience and perspective, and I am going forth strengthened and encouraged. So, blessings on you today, thanks for doing what you do, and know that your being yourself is blessing the Body of Christ and bringing glory to Him!

I was just listening to this podcast after what I call a “train wreck” in leading worship. But after listening to this, I realised that my entire focus all this time was on guarding and getting it right instead of worshipping Jesus. Thank you for the interview and I am so encouraged and blessed by what Bob Fitts has shared. Such invaluable wisdom and revelation! It has made me see clearer. God bless you all.
