When was the last time you were in a creative rut?
I was stuck in one a few minutes ago. Actually, I think I’m still in there. Looks more like a pit than a rut. Little help?
It happens to all of us.
There are seasons of abundance and seasons of draught – moments of creative brilliance and moments of creative sucking.
Worship Leaders only work on Sunday mornings.
We all know this.
OK, maybe there’s a couple busy seasons around Christmas and Easter.
In all seriousness, what does a worship leader do all day?
Why do we have “full time” worship leaders? How can we maximize our time to make the biggest difference?
In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a lot of artists out there.
Countless bloggers, musicians, singer/songwriters, worship leaders, painters, authors, and other creatives are seeking attention.
Most of them won’t get it. Their work won’t stand the test of time. Truth is, most art goes unnoticed.
How do we create our best art? How do we create art that outlasts our lives?
Sometimes people don’t share your enthusiasm.
They just don’t care.
You pour your blood, sweat, and tears into developing a vision for your team, expecting a triumphant roar of applause only to hear the sound of a few sniffles & coughs.
Excitement turns to discouragement.
What do you do when your team resists your vision? When they don’t care, don’t seem to love God, and appear bored?
