You blog for life change. You communicate to convince. You desire more than words on a page. You want to change the world.
A desire to blog starts with a desire to make a difference.
But many of us never see it. Our intentions speak louder than our results.
I’m passionate about raising up leaders.
But if I’m honest, sometimes I hate it. With. A. Passion.
It’s easy to romanticize the thought of sending out leaders. It’s easy to agree with this blog post as you read it.
Yes! Raise up the next generation! Send them out!
Easy to agree with. Painful to live.
I want to be really good at what I do.
Actually, I don’t want to just be really good. I want to be the best.
I want to be a better worship leader than you.
I want to have a better blog than you.
I want to record a better worship album than you.
Go ahead and virtually punch my sorry, selfish self in the face.
Assuming you want to be the best songwriter you can be, there are certain habits you need to form if you’re going to improve.
Too many people blame great songwriting on talent. I beg to differ.
You can improve your songwriting. But you need to add some habits to your life. Without them, your songs will stagnate.
I suppose you could say I’m a worship music junkie.
At times, you may even call me a worship songaholic.
Occasionally a worship album will come along with great songs.
Albums also appear with fantastic production.
Or an album will have a really great singer.
It’s rare for an album to have all three. “You Are I Am” by River Valley Church is one of those albums.
