When I heard of Steve Jobs’ death last night, my heart sank.
Not so much because he was a one of a kind innovator.
He was.
Not because he pioneered products that have become an integral part of my life (and the entire world).
He did.
Not because He was a freaking amazing entrepreneur.
Yep, he was that too.
I’m going to be so honest today, it hurts.
Sometimes I wish God made me different. If I just had a better voice, I could be a worship superstar. I look at younger people with amazing voices and become jealous. I tense up on the inside.
If I could just know this person. If I could just have this. If I could just have that.
If I could just be anywhere than where I am right now…
Sometimes I feel that calling myself “creative” is a big, fat lie.
Maybe I don’t have much to say. I feel like a copy cat most of the time. I’m not as creative as that guy.
I probably should just quit calling myself that and lower everyone’s expectations, right?
Or I shouldn’t.

Today, I’m interviewing one of my favorite artists Ryan O’Neal. Ryan is the driving force behind Sleeping At Last, an indie rock band of epic quality. Here’s my interview with Ryan:
David: What are you up to these days? Now that your Yearbook project is over, do you have some extra time on your hands?
Ryan: Well, during yearbook I wrote a couple songs in secret for a couple future adventures – one of which was just announced a couple days ago. I wrote a song called “Turning Page” for the new Twilight film, “Breaking dawn – Part 1” – so i am suuuuper excited about that!
