It’s refreshing to talk with someone who has had decades of experience doing the same thing without a jaded heart. That’s why I love Stu G. Stu is one of the founding members of the band Delirious, an incredible guitarist, and one who has had a massive influence upon modern worship in so many ways.

In this chat we dive into some of Stu’s Delirious memories, his transition from the band to what he’s doing now, as well as his new project “Have You Heard” – music which predates Delirious. And for you guitar players out there, we geek out for a bit about Stu’s live setup and signal chain.

One of the questions I receive the most is, “How do I go about copyrighting the songs I’m writing for my local church.” Well, I’m not the expert. But my guest on today’s show is. Brock Shinen is an Intellectual Property attorney who works with artists, churches, authors, and organizations surrounding this whole daunting concept.

I love Brock for this expertise and also for his love for Jesus. He works with Jesus Culture as one of his clients and is committed to the Kingdom of God.

I love seeing what God is doing in churches around the world – leaders mobilizing diverse people to reach their communities. That’s why this conversation with Aaron Ivey is such a treat. Aaron is the Worship Pastor at The Austin Stone Community Church in Austin, Texas. They are a church of 8 campuses with a weekend attendance of 8,000 people. They have no central building, yet are growing like crazy and have a thriving creative arts ministry.

Aaron and I discuss the practicalities of his worship ministry, how to lead and unify artists, taking care of your volunteers, how to organize worship teams at 8 campuses, as well as how to record a live worship album.
