Today marks the release of a project that has claimed much of my life over the past year.
It’s Undying Love – the live worship album from Allison Park Church.
Undying Love is an album for the church. Filled with prayers, declarations of truth, and a soundtrack that will energize your day.
You probably didn’t wake up this morning saying, “How can I really screw up my worship team?”
Nobody thinks that.
We all want to move our worship departments forward. To grow, develop, and improve.
But there are a lot of questions:
Many of us don’t know what to do so we resort to all we know how – playing it safe. Doing what we’ve always done.
Have you ever entered into a worship service with no desire to worship?
As happy people sing happy music that echoes throughout the room, you feel alone. Maybe you’re even the worship leader and you’re having a hard time believing what you’re singing.
God has been silent.
Your prayers have gone unanswered.
Circumstances are crushing you.
You know you’re supposed to worship but you’d rather get some answers from God first.
What do you do then?
My first introduction to worship music was not a pretty one.
I was forced to listen to it. I can remember the opening strains of “Change My Heart Oh God” like a knife in the heart. This was the music I could listen to?
Not the soundtrack an eleven year old boy wants to hear.
But eventually, I grew to love worship music. Mainly, because something happened to me.
On this site, I typically don’t like to talk about myself too much.
Rather, I prefer to write in a way that applies to you, encourages you, and challenges you as a worship leader.
But today, I want to introduce you to another huge part of my life. I am the Creative Arts Pastor at Allison Park Church in Pittsburgh, PA.
Over the past year, we have been working on a live recording. And we are very close to sharing the entire project with you: Allison Park Worship.
