Sometimes I hate blogging.

Sometimes I hate meetings.

Sometimes I hate talking.

Why?

It’s too easy to hide behind ideas and not actually do something.

We’ve all been there.

You’ve rehearsed the new songs for weeks. The bass line is killer. Harmonies tight.

The loop you you labored over for 49 days makes you prouder than a Dad at his son’s first baseball game.

You’re ready.

You lead worship and the congregation cheers wildly at your incredible performance.

Except for the fact that they don’t. At all.

Ever wonder why I blog so much?

Why I blog about blogging and write about writing?

Isn’t this a worship leader blog?

Am I an obsessive compulsive, wannabe author who has nothing better to do with his time? Maybe.

But I really believe in it.

I also believe that you should be a writer. In one way or another, writing should become an integral part of your life.

What I’m about to say has the potential to make us enemies for life.

I saw U2 twice in the last two months. Twice. Are we good? Awesome.

While I really loved the show, it wasn’t the show itself that mesmerized me the most.

Yes, the rotating expanding screen was amazing. The light show was second to none. I’ll bet the stage design even gave George Lucas new ideas.

The songs, the sound, the delivery – best I’ve ever seen.
